Tartan Marketing a Four-Time Winner in 2011 BMA Awards Show

MINNEAPOLIS, Minnesota (September 20, 2011) — Local business-to-business ad agency Tartan Marketing added “award winning” to their list of accomplishments in 2011, taking home four “Award of Excellence” honors from the Business Marketing Association (BMA)’s B2 Awards.

Tartan Marketing received recognition in the Corporate Website category for client Baker Boy and for the re-launched and re-branded Tartan Marketing site, in the Corporate Sustainability category for a Tennant Company positioning brochure and in the Charity/Cause category for designing a partnership program between Cargill VICTORY® Canola and 4-H Canada.

The Baker Boy website project, which was part of a larger brand refresh, was designed to function as a go-to resource for professional bakers, offering relevant market insights tailored to each of Baker Boy’s three core customer segments. In addition, the site supports Baker Boy’s sales and broker organizations by providing channel-specific messaging and real-time product information.

For Tennant, Tartan developed and executed an integrated campaign to build awareness for the eco-friendly (but highly technical) EcH2O™ chemical-free cleaning technology. Using an e-mail blast, limited-run brochure and dimensional mailer with interactive components, Tartan targeted 100 environmental thought leaders and helped Tennant secure contracts with several new key accounts.

VICTORY® Canola wanted to build goodwill among their contracted growing communities in Canada, so Tartan developed a grant program in partnership with 4-H Canada to fund local community outreach projects. Named “Reaping Returns” to align with the VICTORY® positioning of “delivering higher returns to farmers,” the program’s debut was so successful Cargill is promoting it again for 2012.

The B2 Awards, a national award show sponsored by the Business Marketing Association, recognizes and honors business marketers for innovative strategic and creative work executed across a wide variety of platforms. A network of 60 senior corporate marketers and leading agency executives judged over 700 entries, from which the winning entries were chosen.
